GENERAL ENGLISH courses
levels: Beginning, Intermediate, Advanced
These
are integrated-skills courses in which students will develop their
skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking in English.
Students will enhance their vocabulary and improve their pronunciation,
learn to write with accuracy and effectiveness. They will review
grammar concepts and apply these grammar concepts through a variety of
activities. Students will also learn about American culture. We teach
our students practical real-world English so they can use English
inside and outside the classroom. Our classes are small so topics can
be customized to students’ needs and interests.
SPECIAL SKILLS courses:
These
courses are intended for students who would like to focus on specific
language skills such as conversation, writing, grammar, pronunciation,
etc. Specialized English courses are a great compliment to our General
English courses, but could also be taken separately.
Pronunciation: Accent Reduction
levels: Intermediate to Advanced
- Learn how to use rhythm, stress and intonation to communicate more natuarlly and effectively in English
- Acquire the ability to self-monitor pronunciation and to overcome accent barriers
- Receive individual assessment
Practical Writing Skills
levels: Intermediate to Advanced
- Learn how to write informal letters, e-mails and personal diaries in an informal, conversational style as well as formal business letters, resumes and essays
- review appropriate grammar concepts
- Increase vocabulary and improve spelling
- By the end of the course, participants will be able to communicate with greater accuracy and sophistication in writing

- Recognize and pronounce vowel and consonant sounds in American English more clearly
- Use dialogues, games and conversation to learn the skills needed to communicate in real-life situations

- Use grammar concepts in practical communication
- Increase vocabulary
- Participate in a comprehensive study of verb tenses
TOEFL Exam Preparation
